Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist, Stewart has been assisting individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years.
He seeks to provide an experience where your problems can be addressed in an open, non-judgmental, and confidential setting. Stewart will listen and will give you feedback. He is not a passive therapist. He focuses on helping individuals, couples, and families learn whatever they need to learn in order to move forward. That learning may involve growing ones self acceptance or lessening one’s dependence upon the approval of others. The learning may involve improving one’s judgment and/or taking care of oneself in relationships. The learning may involve “letting go” of a “bad” relationship or for grieving the loss of a loved one. The learning may involve determining how much to “help” (or not) significant others. That learning may involve identifying and setting appropriate boundaries with an adolescent or child. That learning may involve identifying the steps essential to overcoming anxiety, depression or addiction(s). Lastly, that learning may involve restoring broken trust, such as infidelity or estranged adult children and their parents.
